Points of Interest

POIs are represented with Landmark and Monument buildings that can be constructed by players on their land plots for a bonus to a certain type of buildings constructed around while in operation.

POIs affect all buildings of the same type (like Residential, Offices or Production) on the gaming map in a certain radius as defined by a POI building (from 7x7 up to 11x11 zones). Unlike Appliances those modify building's Influence Points, POI's bonuses are local and are not able to impact established production outside the field.

All the POIs are one-level buildings with no upgrades available. No Citizens are required to operate, Cars and Appliances can not be applied.


Landmarks

Allows for careful territory planning with significant boost for every building type.

Requires 2x2 adjacent land plots owned by a player to be constructed. Grants a bonus for all the buildings of a certain type in 5 land plots range (11x11 field) and removes negative Influence Points impact from buildings of the same type constructed around in 3 land plots range (7x7 field).

Can be used as a tool for zoning a District - combined with policies and taxes for specific building types, that makes POIs a perfect incentive for new buildings to emerge.

Advanced Super Appliances could be installed on Landmarks to provide it with additional bonuses to surrounding buildings.

Monuments

Refines your adjacent buildings of a same type for a better performance.

Requires a single spare land plot, grants a bonus for all the buildings of a certain type in 3 land plots range (7x7 field). Removes negative Influence Points impact from buildings of the same type constructed around in 3 land plots range (7x7 field).

Bonus power is way less then for a Landmark, but still reasonable considering the construction and operational costs.


Appointing a POI to a Corporation

A Landmark building can be assigned to a Corporation that will make all the bonuses from the POI available only to buildings owned by members of the Corporation..

Landmark can be re-assigned to another Corporation after a Grace period ends.

A Landmark can also be used without a Corporation — that will grant a bonus to all buildings constructed around.

Zone Intersection

A POI building can’t be constructed in operation zone of another POI of the same type.

Select a POI building on the map to check it's zone.

That said, a Landmark to boost Residential buildings is not allowed in a zone of another Residential Landmark, but still can be constructed in a zone of Industrial Monument or Industrial Landmark.

When a Monument is constructed inside the Landmark zone of the same type, a building in described range will get only 50% from the Monument, and all the bonuses provided by the Landmark.

At least one land plot of a Mega or a Huge building is required to be in a POI zone to receive an effect.


Effects

POI grants a bonus for operation results to a certain type of buildings constructed in POI's range. Specific effect depends on a building type and kind of a POI constructed.

Residential

Placing any Residential building in a POI zone increases a chance for a better Citizen qualifications.

The better Citizens are appointed to a building the higher chance that represent.

Landmark
  • 8% bonus to resulting Citizens qualifications in all Residential buildings constructed in 5 land plots (11x11 field).
  • Cancels Influence Points penalty from other Residential buildings for all Residential buildings constructed in 3 land plot range (7x7 field).
  • Additional chance for Special and Super Citizens for Residential buildings constructed in 5 land plots (11x11 field) from Super Appliances installed on Landmark.
Monument
  • 4% bonus to resulting Citizens qualifications in your Residential buildings constructed in 3 land plots range (7x7 field). *
  • Cancels Influence Points penalty from other Residential buildings for your Residential buildings constructed in 3 land plot range (7x7 field).

Commercial

POI increases the amount of Stamina Points restored for the same price by a building.

That will make your Commercial building offer more valuable on the market.

  • +20% Stamina Points restored in all Commercial buildings constructed in 5 land plots range (11x11 field).
  • Up to +15% Stamina Points restored in all Commercial buildings constructed in 5 land plots range (11x11 field) from Super Appliances installed on Landmark.
  • Cancels Influence Points penalty from other Commercial buildings for all Commercial buildings constructed in 3 land plot range (7x7 field).
Monument
  • +10% Stamina Points restored in your Commercial buildings constructed in 3 land plots range (7x7 field) *
  • Cancels Influence Points penalty from other Commercial buildings for your Commercial buildings constructed in 3 land plot range (7x7 field).

Offices

POI increases the Daily Wage of an Office building constructed around, but not higher than a maximum Daily Share.

Daily Share is what a building can possibly receive from a Fund (being it a Global or a Local one) that depends on Influence Points a building have. Wage is the amount of ETH/TRX that is actually collected every day, defined by appointed Citizens qualifications.

  • +15% Wage bonus for all Office buildings constructed in 5 land plots range (11x11 field).
  • Up to +10% Wage bonus for all Office buildings constructed in 5 land plots range (11x11 field) from Super Appliances installed on Landmark.
  • Cancels Influence Points penalty from other Office buildings for all Office buildings constructed in 3 land plot range (7x7 field).
Monument
  • +7% Wage bonus for your Office buildings constructed in 3 land plots range (7x7 field). *
  • Cancels Influence Points penalty from other Office buildings for your Office buildings constructed in 3 land plot range (7x7 field).

Municipal

POI increases the Wage of a Municipal building constructed around, but not higher than a maximum Share.

Just like with Offices, Municipal’s Wage is defined by Citizens with a total Share that depends on Influence Points a building have.

  • +40% Wage bonus for all Municipal buildings constructed in 5 land plots range (11x11 field).
  • Up to +22% Wage bonus for all Municipal buildings constructed in 5 land plots range (11x11 field) from Super Appliances installed on Landmark.
  • Cancels Influence Points penalty from other Municipal buildings for all Municipal buildings constructed in 3 land plot range (7x7 field).
Monument
  • +20% Wage bonus for your Municipal buildings constructed in 3 land plots range (7x7 field). *

Production

An increased Materials and Appliances production capacity.

That means a fixed bonus to resulting amount of collected Materials as well as a higher power for Appliances, regardless of being collected with a help of Speed Up option or on a regular basis.

* — Affects only POI owner’s buildings of a certain type. Only half of that effect if the building has a bonus from a Landmark of the same type.


Required Resources

POIs construction will require Materials and some fees for the Funds and a District owner to be constructed.

Fees & Taxes

Certain amount or ETH or TRX required for construction depends on a District's Tax policy for each building type.
Following is an example of Fees and Taxes required in a District with mid-range (~50%) Tax setting.

Operation

POIs require Energy and Water supply to operate. Once deposited it will grant uninterrupted operation for weeks or even months — the more Resources is deposited the longer it will operate. While operational, POIs provide surrounding buildings with a bonus.

Points of Interest feature is all about cumulative effect for a numerous buildings of the same type located close to each other. We believe that will help in shaping the decentralized city landscape and mindful Districts planning on both chains.
